Rasmus Højlund has completed a permanent move to Napoli after a successful loan spell, with the Serie A side paying £43.2m ($58.1m) total including last season's loan fee. The Danish striker leaves Manchester United three years after his £72m move from Atalanta, having scored 26 goals in 95 appearances.

The permanent element of Højlund's transfer—worth around £38m—will finance midfielder Éderson's move to United. The Brazilian is set to join for £35m plus add-ons, as United recoup a significant portion of the fee they paid for the striker in 2023.

United faces a summer of transition with Casemiro, Tyrell Malacia, and Jadon Sancho all leaving on free transfers. Barcelona can trigger Marcus Rashford's permanent deal for £26m before June 15, while Michael Carrick has told Onana he is not part of his plans for next season.
