Mason Greenwood is reportedly close to signing a four-year contract with Fenerbahçe, as Atlético Madrid has ended their pursuit of the forward. Sources told ESPN that Atlético grew frustrated, stating Greenwood was unreachable, leading them to withdraw from negotiations.

Last week, Greenwood was reportedly considering offers from both clubs. While Atlético's offer was financially larger (€45 million total), personal terms were less favorable for the player. Sources indicated that Greenwood and his family had desired a return to Spain. The Fenerbahçe deal is estimated to be worth between €7 million and €8 million net per year.

The transfer fee between Marseille and Fenerbahçe is reportedly €40 million plus €2 million in bonuses. A significant portion, 35%, of this fee will go back to Manchester United. Greenwood, 24, scored 23 goals for Marseille last season.
