Nottingham Forest have made a £70 million bid for Brentford striker Ivan Toney, according to transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano. The 25-year-old, who scored 22 Premier League goals last season — second only to Erling Haaland — has a contract until 2031, though a late departure is not ruled out.

Tottenham are in talks with Galatasaray over midfielder Tanguy Ndombele, who has been told he can leave. He did not feature in Spurs' loss to Brentford amid exit speculation. Meanwhile, Inter Milan consider Lautaro Martínez untouchable, rejecting links to Chelsea, with three years left on his deal and 175 goals in 377 appearances.

Chelsea rejected an AS Roma loan offer for winger Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, who joined from Borussia Dortmund for £48 million last season. Manchester United agreed a £65 million deal (plus £5 million add-ons) for midfielder Manuel Ugarte from Paris Saint-Germain, while Tottenham closed in on Savinho from Girona for up to £85 million. Manchester City are also pursuing Palmeiras winger Estêvão.

Elsewhere, Real Salt Lake held talks with free agent Georginio Wijnaldum, 35, and Fabinho agreed a move to Trabzonspor to reunite with former Liverpool teammate Jordan Henderson. Besiktas made an opening offer for Newcastle's Joelinton, 27.
