Everton have completed the signing of Denmark international Christian Nørgaard from Arsenal. The 32-year-old midfielder has signed a two-year deal with Everton, joining after a season with Arsenal where he made limited starts. Nørgaard expressed a desire for a greater role and was intrigued by Everton's project and the atmosphere at the club.

This move follows reports that Arsenal are close to signing Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimarães for a guaranteed fee of £75 million. Nørgaard, who previously played for Brentford and Fiorentina, spoke with Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta about the transfer. Arteta, who played under Everton's current manager David Moyes, reportedly had positive things to say about the club and Moyes' coaching.

Nørgaard is Everton's fourth summer signing. He stated his excitement about experiencing the atmosphere and fans as an Everton player, calling it a "big, big honour."
