Chelsea Stars Stay Put Despite UCL Doubts

Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior has declared that Enzo Fernández and Cole Palmer are happy at Stamford Bridge despite recent setbacks that have cast doubt on the club's Champions League qualification. The Blues have endured a difficult run, winning just one of their last five Premier League matches and suffering a humiliating 8-2 aggregate defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.

Fernández, who joined for a then-British record fee of £107 million in 2023, recently expressed uncertainty about his future to ESPN in Argentina. Meanwhile, Palmer had faced homesickness rumors earlier in the season, though Rosenior denied any desire for a Manchester return at the time. Both players remain under long-term contracts, with Fernández tied until 2028 and Palmer until 2032.

Despite the club's struggles and potential financial implications of missing Europe's elite competition, Rosenior insists his star players want to stay. 'They love it here,' he said, emphasizing his close relationships with the squad. The manager added that conversations focus on improvement rather than departures, though failure to qualify for the Champions League could complicate retention efforts.
