Sir David Beckham has become Britain's first billionaire sportsman, with his and Victoria's combined wealth reaching £1.185bn ($1.6bn) in the 2026 Sunday Times Rich List. This places the former Manchester United star second on the wealthiest sportspeople list, behind only the Ecclestone family's £2bn fortune.

His fortune stems from diverse ventures, including his co-ownership of Inter Miami, valued at $1.45bn as MLS's most valuable club, and long-term endorsements with Adidas and Hugo Boss. Victoria's fashion label significantly contributes to their joint wealth, built on her Spice Girls fame.

While the Beckhams' wealth grew over the past year, club co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe saw his fortune drop by £1.85bn to £15.194bn, with his company Ineos valued at £17bn due to rising debt and falling revenues. Other notable sports figures on the list include Anthony Joshua (£240m) and Lewis Hamilton (£435m).
