Arsenal Unveils 2026-27 Away Kit Inspired by Bruised Banana

Arsenal have unveiled their new away kit for the 2026-27 season, once again drawing inspiration from the cult "Bruised Banana" jersey of the early 1990s. The reigning Premier League champions have revamped the classic design, retaining the signature zig-zag pattern from the 1991-93 shirt but replacing the original yellow hues with navy blues. The cannon crest and trefoil logo add retro authenticity, complemented by red and gold trim.

The Gunners have repeatedly leaned on the nostalgic appeal of the Bruised Banana kit since first reviving it for their 2019-20 away strip, which was a near-exact replica. Since then, the angular graphic has appeared on multiple match kits, streetwear, and merchandise. While the design remains popular with supporters, the frequent reissues are starting to feel repetitive from a neutral perspective.

The kit launch coincides with Arsenal's trophy parade celebrating their first Premier League title in 22 years. The club also confirmed the signing of winger Christos Tzolis for a reported €40m, adding attacking depth ahead of their title defense.
