Guimarães has become a primary target for Arsenal as they aim to bolster their squad for the upcoming Premier League title defense. The potential transfer gains momentum with Howe's exit from Newcastle, signaling a period of significant player movement for the club, including Anthony Gordon and Sandro Tonali.

While a fee is yet to be finalized, reports suggest a deal exceeding £70 million ($94m) is anticipated. Newcastle, initially resistant to selling, now reportedly recognizes Guimarães' ambition to join the Premier League champions.
