Napoli has officially appointed Massimiliano Allegri as their new manager, filling the vacancy left by Antonio Conte. Allegri, who was fired by AC Milan after a disappointing season, has penned a three-year contract with the Serie A runners-up. This move was widely anticipated following Conte's confirmation of his departure in late May.

Allegri brings a decorated history to Naples, having led AC Milan to the Serie A title in 2011. He later secured five league titles and five Coppa Italia trophies with Juventus. His most recent tenure at Milan saw the team contend for the title but ultimately finish fifth after a late-season slump.

Napoli endured significant injury challenges throughout the past season, which saw them finish second in Serie A. Conte had guided the team to the league championship in his inaugural year. He is now considered a frontrunner for a second spell managing the Italian national team.
