Argentina's Football Association (AFA) has publicly backed Gianni Infantino and praised FIFA for owning up to mistakes in the abandoned $20 billion Forward Enterprise plan.

The AFA, through president Claudio Tapia, sent an open letter commending Infantino’s decade of leadership and the governance model that has strengthened football worldwide.

Infantino faced backlash over the proposed sale of commercial rights to the World Cup via FIFA Forward Enterprise. FIFA apologized for errors made in the failed plan, acknowledging that the process should have been handled differently.

While UEFA and CONMEBOL expressed concerns, the AFA reaffirmed confidence in Infantino’s leadership, urging continued dialogue and inclusive development of the game.
