The NCAA men's ice hockey season is underway with an infusion of talent from North America and Europe. The Denver Pioneers aim to defend their title under head coach David Carle, bolstered by elite defenders Daxon Rudolph (Buffalo Sabres) and Ryan Lin (Sharks), plus offensive additions Jack Pridham (Tampa Bay Lightning) and Mikey Berchild (Carolina Hurricanes). Michigan State Spartans are loaded with first-round talent including Ethan Belchetz (Utah Mammoth), Ryker Lee (Nashville Predators), Mason West (Chicago Blackhawks), and Cullen Potter (Calgary Flames), forming a terrifying offensive attack.
Landon Du Pont, the consensus first overall draft prospect, joined the Michigan Wolverines. The level of talent across schools ensures highly entertaining hockey and strong development grounds for future NHL careers, with several teams poised to contend for the championship.
