The PWHL game between the New York Sirens and Seattle Torrent on April 4 at Madison Square Garden has sold out, expected to set a U.S. attendance record for professional women's hockey. The current record of 17,335 was set in February at Seattle's Climate Pledge Arena. MSG's hockey capacity of 18,006 will surpass that mark.

New York announced the MSG game on January 8 as "the Sirens' arrival at the epicenter of New York City sports." The Sirens, currently fourth in PWHL standings, play home games across the Hudson River at Prudential Center in Newark. Seattle, one of two PWHL expansion teams this season, sits in last place.

A PWHL spokesperson attributed the sellout to "riding the wave of the Winter Olympics," with ticket sales surging after Team USA's gold medal victory over Canada. The league has seen boom interest since the Olympics, including Boston Fleet stars Hilary Knight and Megan Keller appearing on "Saturday Night Live" in their PWHL gear. Sirens GM Pascal Daoust called the sellout "a defining moment" and "a powerful statement about the growth of our league."
