Meredith Gaudreau expressed profound gratitude to Team USA men's hockey after the team won gold at the 2026 Milan Olympics. The widow of NHL player Johnny Gaudreau, killed in a 2024 bicycle accident, attended the Games with her late husband's three children and parents.

The team honored Johnny by parading his No. 13 Columbus Blue Jackets jersey onto the ice following their victory over Canada. Gaudreau shared on Instagram that the experience was 'our most memorable weekend for Daddy,' thanking NBC for the 'once in a lifetime opportunity.' She also praised teammate Zach Werenski for inviting her children onto the ice and calling them after the win, calling him and his wife 'so deserving of that gold medal.'
