Boston Fleet dominated the PWHL awards night, as Aerin Frankel captured the Billie Jean King MVP trophy and goalie of the year honors. Frankel posted a league‑record eight shutouts and matched Montreal’s Ann‑Renee Desbiens with 19 wins in 26 games, helping the Fleet climb to 62 points for an 18‑point leap over last season.

The Fleet advanced to the playoffs for the second time in three years but fell to Ottawa in the semifinals. Megan Keller earned defender of the year after tallying 22 points, while coach Kris Sparre was named coach of the year in his inaugural season. Haley Winn, the second overall draft pick, took rookie of the year after posting 19 points.

Minnesota’s Kelly Pannek snapped the only non‑Boston win, taking forward of the year after leading the league with 33 points. Pannek also finished as an MVP finalist alongside Desbiens. The awards reflected a strong U.S. presence, with four Fleet players and Pannek on the gold‑medal U.S. Olympic team.

Boston’s 18‑point surge and the sweep of awards signal a solid foundation for the Fleet’s next season, as the team looks to translate regular‑season success into postseason triumphs.
