CINCINNATI -- Bengals coach Zac Taylor delivered a bit of optimistic injury news Monday. Wide receiver Tee Higgins is considered day-to-day with an adductor issue he suffered toward the end of Sunday's 22-17 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Higgins tried to play through the injury on Cincinnati's final drive but ultimately wasn't able to continue. However, Taylor's prognosis opens the door for the seventh-year player to suit up for the team's upcoming game against the Miami Dolphins.

With star receiver Ja'Marr Chase out for most of yesterday's game with a concussion, Higgins had one of the best outings of his career -- 11 catches on 16 targets for 157 yards. "Obviously [with] the game he had and the performances he's had for us in the past, any time you can get him it's great," Taylor said. "So we'll just see where he's at this week."

Taylor said the team will develop Higgins' rehab and preparation plan starting Wednesday. Cincinnati will also have to see how Chase progresses as he is currently in concussion protocol. The injuries will limit an already depleted group, with Andrei Iosivas on injured reserve and Colbie Young dealing with a knee injury.

That leaves two healthy receivers on the 53-player roster -- Dohnte Meyers and Mitch Tinsley. Taylor mentioned rookie Noah Thomas and veteran Jordan Moore as potential options off the practice squad for the road game against Miami (0-4). Cincinnati (2-2) is looking to break a two-game losing streak.
