The Minnesota Vikings will exercise Jordan Addison's fifth-year option, interim general manager Rob Brzezinski confirmed. This decision extends Addison's contract through the 2027 season, with the former first-round pick set to earn $18 million in the final year of his rookie deal.

Addison, the No. 23 pick in the 2023 draft, has been a consistent producer alongside Justin Jefferson. The 23-year-old ranks first among his draft class in touchdown receptions with 22 and fifth in catches with 175. His 52.1 yards per game average ranks among the top receivers from his class.

While Addison's on-field production has been strong, his off-field behavior has raised concerns. He has had three police encounters since joining the Vikings, including a 140 mph speeding citation in 2023 and a DUI arrest in 2024. The NFL suspended him for three games following the latter incident. Despite these issues, Minnesota's decision to pick up his option signals confidence in his ability to contribute as a key offensive weapon.
