ESPN analyst Troy Aikman will face restrictions on "Monday Night Football" broadcasts this season due to his role as a Miami Dolphins consultant. These limitations mirror those previously applied to Fox analyst Tom Brady, who also had ownership stakes in the Las Vegas Raiders.

According to an NFL spokesman, Aikman, like Brady, must attend production meetings remotely and is barred from visiting team facilities for practices. "There have been no issues with Tom over the last two seasons," NFL spokesman Brian Mc Carthy stated. "The same parameters that pertained to Tom last season will continue this year and also will apply to Troy."

Aikman and Brady are permitted to conduct interviews outside team facilities and can still broadcast games involving their respective affiliations. Aikman, who has been the lead commentator for "Monday Night Football" since 2022, noted that the Dolphins are not scheduled to play on MNF this season. He previously discussed his role with commissioner Roger Goodell, who was reportedly "fine" with it. Aikman joined the Dolphins in January to assist with their general manager search.
