Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback/receiver Travis Hunter and his wife, Leanna Lenee, surprised nurses at Wolfson Children's Hospital with lunch and scrubs on Tuesday. The couple wanted to thank the staff who cared for their son, born nearly eight weeks premature in August 2025, during his weeks in the neonatal ICU. "They treated us very well, took care of us, and I saw the work that they did for everybody else," Hunter said. "It was definitely really, really special to come back and give back to them."

The couple expressed special gratitude for nurse Rebekah Davis, who provided calm support during the difficult time. Leanna recalled Davis urging her to go home and rest, assuring her, "We got it. We'll take care of him." She celebrated every milestone and kept the first-time parents grounded through the scary experience. "All the nurses here were amazing to us. So Wolfson will always hold a special place in our hearts," Leanna said.

Hunter, navigating training camp and the start of the 2025 NFL season while his son remained hospitalized, visited whenever possible, often late at night after practices. He thanked the nurses for making him feel comfortable and welcome during those long hours. "Y'all make me feel very special and I really appreciate it," he told them.
