Tennessee Titans' All-Pro defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons threw a punch during a team drill Tuesday morning and was sent to a side field for the remainder of practice. First-year coach Robert Saleh stopped the session to remind players to focus on work, not fighting. Saleh stated that throwing a punch results in ejection from practice, similar to a game. Simmons, who recently signed a contract extension, also had a brief altercation on Monday.

On Tuesday, Simmons scuffled with center Austin Schlottman before swinging at right tackle JC Latham. Assistant defensive line coach Tanzel Smart intervened. The Titans, who finished 3-14 last season, struggled with penalties, totaling 1,011 yards. Latham led the team with 14 penalties, while Simmons ranked second with 12.

Saleh emphasized the importance of playing aggressively but with discipline, aiming to maintain an edge without incurring costly penalties.
