Folarin Balogun has been added to AS Monaco's Conference League squad following his goal in a 3-1 loss at Paris FC. The USMNT striker was originally left out amid transfer uncertainty, having pulled out of a reported £40 million ($54 million) move to Everton due to medical concerns. Ansu Fati, sidelined with injury, has been removed from the list.
Balogun has only featured as a substitute this season, scoring his first goal recently. His inclusion comes after a World Cup controversy involving a red card deferred by FIFA following intervention from U.S. President Donald Trump. Monaco has won its first two Conference League games and faces FC Nordsjælland, Hearts, Brighton, and Lincoln Red Imps in the league phase.
