The Houston Texans have agreed to a three-year, $37.5 million contract with guard Ed Ingram, keeping the 27-year-old lineman off the free agent market. The deal includes $23.5 million in guarantees and was finalized just before the NFL's free agency negotiating window opened Monday. Ingram's return provides stability for an offensive line that underwent significant changes this offseason.

Houston traded away two starters from last season's offensive line, tackle Tytus Howard and guard Juice Scruggs, in separate deals earlier this month. The Texans originally acquired Ingram from the Minnesota Vikings last year after he was benched in 2024. He flourished with Houston in 2025, becoming one of the top interior offensive linemen available in free agency.

Ingram, a 2022 second-round draft pick, allowed the 12th-lowest pressure rate (6.4) among guards with at least 400 pass-block snaps, according to Next Gen Stats. He has appeared in 62 games, including 55 starts, across four NFL seasons. His re-signing represents a significant investment in offensive line continuity for a team that has made several offseason moves to reshape its roster.
