Carolina Panthers owner David Tepper is injecting an additional $500 million into stadium renovations, bringing the total project cost to $1.3 billion. This investment aims to enhance fan experience and attract major events like the Super Bowl, NFL draft, and the 2031 Women's World Cup to Charlotte.

The expanded renovations at Bank of America Stadium, a project expected to conclude by 2030, include new renderings showcasing a transformed "Charlotte corridor." This vision incorporates a 4,400-seat music venue, designed to position Charlotte as a year-round destination for sports and entertainment. The project is entirely privately funded, with Tepper Sports & Entertainment covering all costs and maintenance.

Tepper highlighted the extended naming rights deal with Bank of America as a testament to their partnership. The enhancements will feature expanded social spaces, upgraded scoreboards and audio systems, and improved seating options. The stadium's exterior will receive a modern, open-air redesign, removing gates for a more welcoming park-like atmosphere. The addition of the music venue aims to allow visitors to enjoy concerts, soccer matches, and Panthers games over a single weekend.
