Taysom Hill confirmed he won't return to the New Orleans Saints for a 10th season, posting a statement Wednesday night. The 36-year-old "Swiss Army knife" didn't announce retirement, leaving the door open to playing elsewhere. Hill thanked the Saints and fans for nine seasons, saying returning to New Orleans "is not in the cards."

Hill is one of only five players in NFL history with at least 10 touchdowns each via rushing, receiving, and passing, and the only player in the Super Bowl era with 1,000+ yards in all three categories. He joined Frank Gifford (1957) as the only players to reach double-digit TDs in all three. General manager Mickey Loomis praised Hill as a "great teammate, excellent leader and mentor."

Claimed off waivers from the Green Bay Packers in 2017, Hill played 118 regular season games and six postseason games. He returned from a serious knee injury in December 2024 to play 13 games in 2025, recording 11 catches, one passing TD, and 52 rushes for 114 yards and a score. His final home game featured designed plays to help him reach milestones.
