Green Bay Packers offensive lineman Rasheed Walker was arrested Friday morning at LaGuardia Airport after attempting to check a bag containing a firearm. The 25-year-old was charged with two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a firearm. He was processed and released later that day.

According to police, a 9mm Glock pistol and 36 rounds of ammunition were found in a locked box inside his luggage. Walker's attorney stated the gun was legally licensed in Wisconsin and that the player was unaware he couldn't transport it in New York. The case is scheduled for a Queens County court on March 19.

The incident creates an immediate off-field distraction for the Packers. Walker, a 2022 seventh-round pick, has been a key depth piece on their offensive line. The organization typically waits for legal proceedings before commenting on player conduct, but a potential league suspension could impact their 2026 offensive line depth chart.
