Nabers Practicing After Knee Injury

New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers participated in the individual portion of practice Wednesday, marking his first activity since a knee injury in Week 4 last season. Coach John Harbaugh stated Nabers "looked good," though a full return to practice will take time. General manager Joe Schoen and Harbaugh are not committing to a Week 1 return against the Dallas Cowboys, emphasizing a day-to-day approach as they monitor the knee's response.

Nabers underwent ACL repair and meniscus surgery, with a follow-up procedure for scar tissue and stiffness. Despite a setback, he aggressively pursued rehab and was not placed on the physically unable to perform list. He was seen stopping, starting, and cutting, running routes without a limp, a significant improvement from late May. This progress is encouraging for the Giants, who are eager to have their playmaker back.

Nabers, who recorded 1,204 yards and seven touchdowns as a rookie in 2024, had his sophomore season cut short. Quarterback Jaxson Dart expressed excitement about Nabers' presence on the field, noting his "exhilarating" aura. The team plans to integrate him slowly, prioritizing his recovery over rushing his return, with over six weeks remaining before the season opener.
