Former Cincinnati Bengals and Dallas Cowboys linebacker Logan Wilson announced his retirement from the NFL at age 29 on Wednesday. Wilson, a third-round pick from Wyoming in 2020, spent parts of five seasons with the Bengals before being traded to Dallas last season. He shared the news on Instagram, reflecting on his journey from a Wyoming kid to NFL player.

In Cincinnati, Wilson started 65 games, recorded 541 tackles, and intercepted 11 passes. He played a key role in the Bengals' Super Bowl LVI run, including memorable moments like his interception against Tennessee in the 2021 playoffs. Wilson described the 2021 postseason as special, noting his daughter was born in Cincinnati during that time.

Wilson was voted a captain in 2025 but lost his starting role to rookie Barrett Carter, leading to his trade to Dallas. The Cowboys sent a 2026 seventh-round pick to Cincinnati for the linebacker, who appeared in seven games, making 28 tackles and one forced fumble. Despite being benched multiple times in Dallas, including not playing a snap in a Christmas Day win, Wilson's career ended when the Cowboys released him on February 20.
