The Detroit Lions have agreed to terms with free agent cornerback Roger McCreary on a one-year contract, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. The 26-year-old defensive back spent the first four seasons of his career with the Tennessee Titans before being traded to the Los Angeles Rams at last season's deadline.

McCreary's 2025 season was cut short by injury after playing just one defensive snap for the Rams before landing on injured reserve with a groin injury. He returned for the team's final five games, including the playoffs. In his NFL career, McCreary has appeared in 61 regular-season games, recording three interceptions, four sacks, 17 passes defended, and 257 total tackles.

The Lions are adding depth to their secondary after trading away cornerback Terrion Arnold in a recent deal. McCreary's experience as a starter in 38 games for the Titans makes him a valuable addition to Detroit's defensive backfield.
