The Philadelphia Eagles are signing defensive tackle Jalen Carter to a four-year, $152 million extension, with potential to reach $160 million. Agents Drew Rosenhaus and Jason Rosenhaus confirmed the deal to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The contract includes $106 million guaranteed, making it the richest deal for an NFL defensive tackle in terms of guaranteed money and average annual value, which stands at $38 million.

Carter, 25, has earned two Pro Bowl selections in his first three seasons. He has recorded 13.5 sacks, 37 quarterback hits, and 108 tackles. The Eagles had previously exercised his fifth-year option for the 2027 season, and this new extension will keep him with the team through the 2031 season.
