Coach John Harbaugh penalized the offense 15 yards for taunting, forcing a re-kick of the extra point. "I think he understands that we don't want it for the game-winning extra point, we don't want it to be a 50-yard extra point or so," Harbaugh commented on Dart's actions.

Despite the coach's disapproval, some teammates, like tight end Isaiah Likely, saw the incident as a sign of competitive fire. "That's the type of dog you want in a quarterback," Likely stated.
