Former NFL guard Jordan Devey, 38, died Tuesday by suicide, his family confirmed. The Super Bowl champion with the New England Patriots appeared in 44 career games (21 starts) for five teams over seven seasons.

Devey played seven regular-season games for the Patriots during their 2014 championship season and started nine of 15 games for the San Francisco 49ers in 2015. He retired in 2021 after one game with the Buffalo Bills in 2020.

"Tragically, Jordan took his own life," a fundraising page stated. His wife, Linsey, noted he died days before their 15th anniversary. His mother, Leslie, told Fox 13 the family believed he suffered from CTE but cannot test due to the manner of death.

Devey is survived by his parents, his wife, and their four children.
