AJ Epenesa is signing a one-year deal with the Cleveland Browns worth up to $5 million, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The 27-year-old defensive end spent his entire six-year NFL career with the Buffalo Bills, where he was drafted in the second round of the 2020 NFL draft.

Epenesa was a reliable member of the Bills' defensive line rotation, appearing in 91 games with 19 starts. His career totals include 24 sacks, though production dipped to just 2.5 sacks in 16 games during the 2025 season. He's proven effective at disrupting passing lanes with 14 batted passes and four interceptions, including two in 2025.

The Browns are adding a veteran presence to their defensive front after Epenesa's sack production declined in recent seasons. His postseason experience includes 14 games without a sack, recording three quarterback hits and three batted passes. This move gives Cleveland a proven rotational player at a reasonable price point.
