Washington Wizards center Alex Sarr will miss approximately two weeks after sustaining a right hamstring strain, the team announced Thursday. The injury occurred during Wednesday's 138-113 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers, where Sarr sat out with right hamstring tightness.

Sarr, one of only three players averaging at least 17 points, seven rebounds and two blocks per game this season, will also miss Friday's Rising Stars game. His teammate Bub Carrington was named as his replacement for the All-Star weekend event.

The Wizards, who fell to 14-39 with Wednesday's loss, now face a significant challenge without their promising rookie. Sarr's absence comes at a crucial time as Washington enters the All-Star break with the second-worst record in the NBA, making his return vital for the team's development plans.
