Timberwolves Reveal New Uniforms, Logo Ahead of Fresh Start

The Minnesota Timberwolves rolled out new uniforms, logo and court designs Sunday, blending throwback elements with modern aesthetics. Kevin Garnett helped showcase the three uniform editions: association, icon and statement versions that draw from different eras of franchise history. The white, blue and green palette recalls the team's original 1989-90 look, while the statement uniforms revive the popular pine tree-era black design from 1998-2008.

CEO Matt Caldwell emphasized connecting different generations of fans through the new aesthetic. The trim features classic three-stripe patterns with blue and green lines inspired by Minnesota's natural landscape, while wolf fang-inspired numbers complete the look. Statement uniforms display glowing blue and green 'Wolves' outlines rather than the traditional 'Timberwolves' script.

Two new home court designs debut alongside the uniforms, branded as 'statement' and 'core' versions. The updated howling wolf logo incorporates blue and green colors reminiscent of the 1990-1996 era. Subtle touches include a custom 'Tree-M' belt buckle monogram and five-tree lineup above jock tags representing the starting five players.

The rebrand comes after Minnesota's second-round playoff exit to San Antonio in 2026, ending back-to-back Western Conference finals appearances. These uniform changes mark a visual reset as the Timberwolves aim to build momentum following their recent playoff disappointment.
