Stephon Castle exited Tuesday's Spurs victory over the Lakers with a pelvis contusion after a hard fall following a spectacular block. X-rays came back negative, but the Spurs ruled him out for the remainder of their 136-108 road win. Castle walked off under his own power but moved gingerly to the locker room for evaluation.

The injury occurred with 4:10 remaining in the first half when Castle landed awkwardly on his back while attempting to block Rui Hachimura's transition dunk attempt. Teammates surrounded him as trainers provided immediate attention before he departed for further examination. San Antonio led by 29 points at halftime when Castle was officially ruled out.

Castle, last season's Rookie of the Year, played just 12 minutes before exiting, finishing with 2 points and 7 assists. The 20-year-old guard has been instrumental to San Antonio's success this season, averaging 16.7 points, 5.1 rebounds and 7.0 assists per game. His absence creates a significant void for the Spurs as they continue their push toward the playoffs.
