Toronto Raptors guard Immanuel Quickley will sit out Game 1 against the Cleveland Cavaliers Saturday due to a right hamstring strain, confirmed coach Darko Rajaković. Quickley sustained the mild injury during Sunday’s regular-season conclusion against the Brooklyn Nets, forcing him to miss the crucial playoff opener. This absence immediately alters Toronto's early postseason strategy.

Quickley provided strong production throughout the regular campaign, posting averages of 16.4 points and a career-high 5.9 assists across 70 appearances. Before this hamstring issue, he also dealt with plantar fasciitis in March, missing eight contests. Rising guard Jamal Shead is slated to step into the starting lineup to fill the significant backcourt void left by Quickley's absence.

Cleveland also faces a personnel adjustment, ruling out reserve forward Thomas Bryant because of his own left calf strain. The Raptors rely heavily on Quickley's scoring punch, making his availability for Monday's Game 2 a major factor in managing the first-round series deficit. The Game 1 tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET.
