As the NBA's brightest stars prepare for the All-Star Game at the Intuit Dome, it's worth examining which Los Angeles-area players would have made the cut during their high school days. The Los Angeles talent pool has produced an extraordinary number of NBA stars, with several local products achieving legendary status before even reaching the professional ranks.

LaMelo Ball stands out with his 92-point game as a Chino Hills sophomore, averaging 27.5 points, 9.6 assists and 4.2 rebounds. Kawhi Leonard, though ranked No. 56 nationally in 2009, dominated at Martin Luther King High with 22.6 points, 13.1 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game. James Harden led Artesia High to back-to-back state titles, averaging 18.8 points, 7.9 rebounds and 3.9 assists as a senior while ranked No. 14 in his class.

Other L.A. standouts include Tyson Chandler, who averaged 26 points, 15 rebounds and eight blocks at Dominguez High, and DeMar DeRozan, who put up 29.2 points per game at Compton High. Jrue Holiday dominated Campbell Hall with 25.9 points, 11.2 rebounds, 6.9 assists and 4.8 steals, earning Gatorade National Player of the Year honors. Lonzo Ball spearheaded Chino Hills' perfect 35-0 season with 23.9 points, 11.3 rebounds and 11.5 assists as a senior.
