Washington Nationals reliever Ken Waldichuk left Sunday's game against the Milwaukee Brewers after injuring his left elbow while throwing a pitch in the seventh inning. The 28-year-old left-hander pointed to his elbow in discomfort after delivering a ball to Brice Turang, prompting the training staff to check on him at the mound.

Waldichuk walked slowly to the dugout as Cole Henry entered from the bullpen with a 2-0 count. Turang eventually drew a walk that was charged to Waldichuk, who had already allowed one earned run in 1 2/3 innings. The outing raised his ERA to 6.75 through five appearances this season.

The injury represents another setback for Waldichuk, who underwent Tommy John surgery in May 2024 and spent the entire 2025 season recovering in the minor leagues. His return to the majors this year was already under scrutiny given his recent injury history and struggles on the mound.
