Rangers Jung Foscue Injury Update: 10-Day DL Impact

Texas Rangers third baseman Josh Jung and designated hitter Justin Foscue will both miss approximately 10 days with muscle strains, manager Skip Schumaker announced Saturday. Jung suffered an adductor strain while Foscue sustained a hamstring injury during spring training in Surprise, Arizona.

Jung, 28, hit .251 with 14 home runs and 61 RBIs in 131 games last season, establishing himself as a key offensive contributor. Foscue, 26, had limited action with just nine at-bats in 2025 and was competing for a platoon role at designated hitter. Both players are expected to return before Opening Day barring any setbacks.

The injuries create uncertainty in the Rangers' infield and designated hitter positions heading into the regular season. Jung's absence removes a proven run producer from the lineup, while Foscue's injury disrupts competition for the DH role. The team will need to adjust its roster plans during these crucial final weeks of spring training.
