Milwaukee called Quinn Priester back from a Triple‑A rehab stint as he continues to wrestle with thoracic outlet syndrome. Manager Pat Murphy said the Brewers will reassess his condition after a planned visit to a Dallas nerve specialist, noting the nerve isn’t compressed but discomfort persists. Priester remains on the 60‑day injured list. His absence forces staff to lean on Jacob Misiorowski and Kyle Harrison.

Last season Priester posted a 13‑3 record with a 3.32 ERA across 24 starts, anchoring Milwaukee’s rotation. In five rehab outings—three at Triple‑A Nashville, two in Arizona, one at High‑A Wisconsin—he logged 16 innings with a 15.75 ERA, 2.88 WHIP, 24 walks, 18 strikeouts, four hit batters and six wild pitches, prompting mixed reviews from Murphy and raised concerns about his command.

Brewers also watch veteran Brandon Woodruff, sidelined since April with right‑shoulder inflammation but showing a 3.60 ERA in six starts this year. Reliever Jared Koenig, nursing a left UCL sprain, remains a priority for return. With Priester’s future uncertain, Milwaukee’s rotation depth hinges on Woodruff’s health and Koenig’s comeback as the club eyes postseason stability.
