A pair of New Balance cleats worn by Shohei Ohtani in the first game of the 2025 Tokyo Series is up for auction through The Realest. The Los Angeles Dodgers superstar wore the shoes during the March 18, 2025, opener against the Chicago Cubs at the Tokyo Dome, where he went 2-for-5 with a double in a 4-1 victory.

The cleats feature Ohtani's rarely seen Kanji signature and his dog "Decoy" on the heels. They were consigned by Noram Entry Corporation, the U.S. division of Japanese beauty device company Take to The Universe. The Realest founder Scott Keeney called them "one of the most important pieces of modern baseball footwear ever publicly offered."

The auction runs through Aug. 16 and includes a contest where 1% of the final sale price goes to whoever guesses the winning bid. Ohtani enters the All-Star break with a .293 batting average, 22 home runs and 58 RBIs.
