Rangers outfielder Brandon Nimmo exited Tuesday night's 7-4 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks in the sixth inning with a sprained left ankle. X-rays came back clean, and manager Skip Schumaker said Nimmo will be considered day-to-day.

The injury occurred when Nimmo's left foot struck the edge of first baseman Ildemaro Vargas' foot while attempting to leg out an infield single. He remained in the game for a few pitches before pinch runner Sam Haggerty replaced him. Despite the early exit, Nimmo had a productive night at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a triple.

The center fielder is batting .276 this season with four home runs and 12 RBIs. Texas built a commanding 7-1 lead against Arizona before Nimmo's injury. His availability will be closely monitored as the Rangers continue their series against the Diamondbacks.
