Munetaka Murakami of the Chicago White Sox and Chase DeLauter of the Cleveland Guardians made history this week by hitting home runs in their first three Major League games, a feat achieved only twice before. Murakami, 26, joined Trevor Story (2016) and Kyle Lewis (2019) as the third player to accomplish this, while DeLauter, 24, became the fifth Guardians player to hit a homer in his debut at-bat. Both players showcased power early, with Murakami homering off two pitchers and DeLauter driving in runs despite three strikeouts in his third game.
