Misiorowski to Miss All-Star Game Due to Pitching Schedule

Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Jacob Misiorowski will likely miss the upcoming All-Star Game despite his stellar performance, as the team plans to have him start games immediately before the break. His scheduled starts on July 9 and July 12 make him ineligible for the midsummer classic, a rule designed to protect pitchers' arms.

Misiorowski, who has already thrown 104 innings, understands the team's long-term perspective prioritizing September and October. "It sucks -- obviously I want to throw in a game like that -- but so be it," he stated. The 24-year-old flamethrower has compiled a 1.47 ERA and 156 strikeouts this season, leading the majors in both categories.

Despite the missed opportunity, Misiorowski has prior All-Star experience from last year, which he says makes the situation easier. His dominant stretch includes an 8-2 record with a 0.63 ERA over his last 11 starts. While his team lost Thursday, Misiorowski's pitching, aside from one three-run homer, was strong, striking out 10 batters.
