The Miami Marlins are set to activate Kyle Stowers from the injured list Sunday, marking his season debut after a hamstring strain sidelined him during spring training. The All-Star outfielder completed a successful rehab assignment with Triple-A Jacksonville, including back-to-back nine-inning games.

Stowers, who recorded 25 home runs and 73 RBIs in 117 games last season, earned his first All-Star selection before a late-season oblique injury. The 2019 second-round draft pick had a journeyman path, bouncing between Triple-A Norfolk and Baltimore before being traded to Miami, where he initially struggled with a .186 batting average in his first 50 games.

Last season, Stowers emerged as Miami's offensive leader in home runs and RBIs, becoming the first Marlins outfielder named to the National League All-Star team since Marcell Ozuna and Giancarlo Stanton in 2017. Manager Clayton McCullough emphasized the importance of Stowers' return, noting his resilience through previous setbacks. The Marlins, currently 9-11 and second in the NL East, hope Stowers' presence will provide a significant boost to their lineup as they build on last year's 79-83 surprise season.
