Brewers Place Pitcher Logan Henderson on Injured List

The Milwaukee Brewers have placed right-hander Logan Henderson on the 15-day injured list due to a lower back strain. The team made the move retroactive to Saturday, opening a roster spot for a key pitching reinforcement. Henderson's placement comes after his strong outing against the Dodgers, raising questions about the timing of his injury.

On Friday, Henderson delivered five shutout innings in Milwaukee's 5-1 victory over Los Angeles. Following that start, manager Pat Murphy noted the pitcher's back had been bothering him, with Henderson describing it as "low back tightness" that he's managed before. Despite the injury concerns, Henderson has been effective this season, posting a 2.74 ERA over five starts while striking out 30 batters in 23 innings.

To fill Henderson's roster spot, the Brewers recalled Coleman Crow from Triple-A Nashville. Crow brings experience to the rotation, entering the move with a 2.61 ERA in two starts for Milwaukee and a 4-1 record with Nashville this season. The right-handed pitcher provides immediate depth for a rotation that cannot afford extended absences.

Henderson's injury represents a significant setback for Milwaukee's pitching staff during the early part of the season. The Brewers now face the challenge of maintaining their starting rotation effectiveness while Henderson recovers from what appears to be a recurring back issue that could sideline him beyond the minimum 15-day timeline.
