Milwaukee Brewers principal owner Mark Attanasio and Hall of Famer Nolan Ryan have joined the investment group for the Athletes Unlimited Softball League as it enters its second season. This makes the Brewers the first MLB team to directly invest in the professional softball league, which previously received a strategic investment from MLB in 2025.

The new investment group includes Ryan Sanders Baseball, one of Minor League Baseball's top operating groups. This partnership strengthens the AUSL as it expands with six teams competing in dedicated home markets for the first time. The league includes the Carolina Blaze, Chicago Bandits, Oklahoma City Spark, Portland Cascade, Texas Volts and Utah Talons.

The Brewers' involvement represents a significant cross-sport investment strategy. Major League Baseball's continued support of the softball league demonstrates growing recognition for women's professional sports. This partnership brings financial stability to the AUSL as it establishes its presence in dedicated home markets across the country.
