New York Yankees first baseman Ben Rice will compete in the upcoming Home Run Derby in Philadelphia on July 13. Rice leads the Yankees with 25 home runs this season and has hit 58 home runs in his first three major league seasons.

Rice, 27, announced his participation Tuesday, stating his father, Dan, will pitch to him. This marks the second consecutive year a Yankees player will feature in the event, following Jazz Chisholm Jr.'s first-round exit last year. Rice aims to become the first Yankees winner since Aaron Judge in 2017.

Other participants include Tampa Bay's Junior Caminero, with the full field yet to be revealed. Judge is one of four Yankees to win the derby, alongside Tino Martinez, Jason Giambi, and Robinson Cano.
