Bryce Harper will team with Dodgers third-base coach Dino Ebel for Monday's 2026 Home Run Derby at Citizens Bank Park. Ebel has a stellar Derby résumé, having pitched for winners Vladimir Guerrero Sr. (2007), Albert Pujols (2015), Teoscar Hernandez, and Kyle Schwarber (2025). Harper, nearing 400 career homers and a 2018 champion, chose Ebel after his father Ron couldn't participate.

Other contestants include Phillies slugger Kyle Schwarber (32 HRs) with assistant hitting coach Rafael Pena; Yankees rookie Ben Rice (29 HRs) with his father Dan; Rays' Junior Caminero (28 HRs) returning with coordinator Tomas Francisco; Cardinals' Jordan Walker (22 HRs) with bullpen coach Kleininger Teran; Red Sox catcher Willson Contreras (20 HRs) with bench coach Jose Flores; and White Sox lefty Munetaka Murakami (20 HRs) with bullpen catcher Luis Sierra.

The event features a revised format allowing more time between swings, which Caminero's pitcher notes will benefit the more mature 23-year-old. Several pitchers have deep Derby experience, making the pitcher-hitter dynamic as crucial as the swinging itself.
