Ryan Lasko, who fractured his C6-C7 vertebra in a collision with teammate Devin Taylor four weeks ago, reports significant recovery progress. The 24-year-old posted on Instagram Monday that he has regained sensation from his feet to his knees, along with involuntary leg movements and feeling in his thighs, hamstrings, and back.

Lasko underwent surgery June 30 after the frightening incident during a Double-A Midland game in Frisco, Texas, where both players dove for a fly ball. He now has approximately 75% usage of his left hand and 50% in his right. "I'm currently feeling much better," Lasko wrote, expressing gratitude for support that helps him "work my hardest."

Selected in the 2023 second round from Rutgers, Lasko was batting .209 with six homers and 34 RBIs for Midland this season. He previously appeared in 13 games at Triple-A Las Vegas and hit .357 with nine stolen bases in the Arizona Fall League. The organization continues to monitor his rehabilitation.
