A rare 2013 Aaron Judge Bowman Chrome Draft Superfractor card has sold for $5.2 million, setting a new record for modern baseball cards. The one-of-one signed card, sold through Fanatics Collect, surpassed the previous record of $3.936 million set by a Mike Trout card in 2020. This sale marks the seventh-most-expensive sports card transaction ever recorded.

According to Card Ladder, the Judge sale is more than 16 times higher than the previous record for a Judge card, which sold for $324,000 in 2022. The same card previously sold for $157,200 in 2020. Fanatics Collect noted that both buyer and seller have chosen to remain anonymous, while emphasizing their commitment to setting future records in the collectibles market.

The sale also broke Fanatics Collect's own record, previously held by a Shohei Ohtani card that sold for $3 million in December. The Judge and Trout cards represent the only modern baseball cards to sell for over $3 million. A current auction featuring a dual MVP card with Judge and Ohtani's autographs and game-worn patches is approaching $1.2 million with a week remaining.
